Early Years

An Exciting Learning Experience

Welcome

British Early Years Education in Valencia

We believe that this first stage of children’s education is fundamental to their overall development. For this reason, our methodology is based on their emotional and social wellbeing and on creating enriching and play-based experiences.

At Caxton College, pupils enjoy a welcoming and safe environment where learning takes place through play, exploration and creativity, both inside and outside the classroom.

We offer an education where English and Spanish coexist naturally. We have a specialist teaching team who complement curricular lessons with musical, artistic, sport and other activities to promote the development of skills and abilities that will prepare children for the future. We are committed to providing an education where pupils feel happy, confident and acquire a solid base of knowledge and personal values.

By nurturing and supporting each pupil this way, each individual can thrive and reach their true potential.

Welcome
Karen Fraser, Early Years Leader

Each day we create a welcoming learning environment so that children feel happy, safe, and cared for

“Children in the early years make rapid progress in the acquisition of English through immersive language learning, which is fun, thereby ensuring that they enjoy the lesson.”

Inquisitive minds

We awaken curiosity and the natural tendency to learn with the hope that it will remain throughout their lives.

Creative hands

We stimulate creativity and foster it through practical and artistic experiences.

Caring hearts

We teach values such as kindness, generosity, and affection as the foundation for social relationships.

Educational Stages

A native English-speaking teacher and a Spanish-speaking teacher provide a bilingual educational environment

The children discover mathematics, develop an understanding of the world, explore their creativity, enjoy physical activities, enjoy stories and songs, and many other learning opportunities through play, creative learning areas, and sensory experiences. Additionally, each week they receive support from specialist teachers in Physical Education and Music.

Our pupils gain knowledge through experiences with nature, which is why we have daily outdoor lessons that promote a healthy relationship with the environment and stimulate their personal growth and development.

We implement creative and stimulating learning on a daily basis where bilingualism is the central focus

Our main priority is for all children to feel safe and welcomed. Here, the children grow and develop in an environment designed to foster autonomous and personalised learning. The pupils enjoy the benefits of a healthy relationship with the environment thanks to our daily outdoor lessons. This is of great importance to their cognitive and emotional development, along with educational games.

Each class has both a native English and Spanish speaking teacher, as well as a team of teachers who are specialists in Physical Education and Music.

Children complete their final year of Early Years education at this stage and increase their independence

As each class has native English-speaking teachers and bilingual assistants, children strengthen their comprehension and expression skills in English. The teaching team is also composed of specialist teachers in Physical Education, Music, and Spanish Language.

Play remains the central focus of their learning as it is a highly effective method. We prioritise activities in outdoor spaces to encourage exploration, independence, and cooperation.

School Life

Experiences That Mark Us

Right from the very first day, we want the child to start to develop their cognitive and social skills in a playful environment that offers the warmth and familiarity of home.

Co-Curricular Activities

Culture, Sport & Values During the School Day

We are at a pivotal stage in the comprehensive development of our pupils as this is the recommended age for children to begin engaging in co-curricular activities. Music, sports, languages, and art are the four main areas that form the foundation of our Co-Curricular programme at the school. All of these activities contribute to the child's intellectual and psychomotor development and enhance aspects such as creativity or knowledge of the body and help nurture each student's innate qualities.

Our Success is the Satisfaction of Our Families

Baby Caxton 1

I would like to thank you all for this wonderful school year. The teachers have looked after our little ones as if they were their own children, and it shows!

They love going to school, they have had a great time, and they adore their teachers. The care has been excellent and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much for everything.

Baby Caxton 2

As parents, we always have doubts about whether we have chosen the best education for our children, and we must say that our doubts were quickly dispelled, thanks to the work of our children's teachers. We want to congratulate the school for having such outstanding professionals amongst its staff. Our heartfelt congratulations.

Baby Caxton 2

I would like to thank the entire team for the dedication, professionalism, and affection shown to my child during his time in Baby Caxton. He has been a very happy child! There is nothing better than knowing your child is in the best hands.

Reception

We wished to send our congratulations to school for doing such a good job looking after their best asset, our children's teachers. Without their dedication, professionalism and affection for our children, nothing would be possible. Please continue to motivate teachers and look after them so that they can maintain their level of energy and attention to our little onew, who are the future. Thank you very much!
