In the pursuit of quality meals for our students, we have an in-house kitchen and provide a dining room service for all of our students. There are four dining rooms for the different educational stages that are adapted to their varying needs.
All of the daily menus are approved by the school doctor and the Head of the Kitchen and Dining Room, who also supervises the entire process, from purchasing onwards, to ensure that the meals served are balanced and healthy as well as to the students’ tastes.
Our specialised menus
Our expert staff design and prepare meals for all students requiring a specific diet, whether due to allergies, medical or religious reasons.
The menu for our younger students is adapted to their specific needs. Since many of them are just beginning to eat solid food, their main courses are pureed and, in line with paediatric guidelines, they alternate vegetables, meat, egg and fish in order to achieve a varied and balanced diet.
Early Years and Primary pupils have school gardens where they plant and care for vegetables so that when they encounter them in their school lunches, they are familiar with them and know that they form part of a healthy diet.
Dining Room staff serve all food: first and second courses, salad and dessert, and also ensure that students eat well, reporting any incidents. If any issues are detected, families are contacted right away to find a solution to the problem.
The school has two kitchens, one main facility for preparing the general menu of the day, and another smaller kitchen equipped to prepare all of the meals for those with a dietary intolerance or a specific diet, since the school does not permit students to bring in external food.
As part of our whole-person education, our dedicated Good Manners dining room receives 2 small groups of students every day, who learn to eat correctly and politely.
Good table manners are taught here to Primary students from Year 1 up to Year 6, while fostering healthy, balanced eating habits. The students attend these sessions in rotation several times a year, so that they can gradually learn how to behave politely at the dinner table.
Students learn that they should wait until everyone has been served before starting to eat, they are shown how cutlery is placed correctly, how to hold it, how to seat, how to clean their mouths before drinking, how to indicate that they have finished, and even how to clear the table and share the bread basket around.
